Community Service

Students in grades 9-12 must perform 20 hours of community service each year (10 hours must be served during the 1st semester). Of the 20 hours, a minimum of 10 must be served at Temple Baptist Academy. All 20 hours may be served at TBA or Temple Baptist Church.

The remaining 10 hours may be performed at the student's church, a local charity, or any number of community outreach programs. We strongly recommend that the program be one with a Christian affiliation.

The student cannot be paid for any work performed; and, the work may not be performed for a relative. Credit may not be given for work performed during school hours.

Community service opportunities allow our students to achieve the spiritual and social portions of our mission statement. Christ has called us to a life of service, and we believe part of a well-rounded, Christ-centered education is giving students ample opportunity to experience service.
