A = 4.0
B = 3.0
C = 2.0
D = 1.0
F = 0

Grade Reporting

TBA’s scholastic calendar is based on four quarters of roughly nine weeks each, with the first two quarters constituting the first semester and the second two quarters the second semester.Mid-quarter progress reports are posted to Edline on dates as specified in the annual calendar.  Printed report cards are issued following the end of each quarter as specified in the annual calendar.  Report cards for the second and fourth quarters include the semester grades for each subject which are used in the computation of GPA’s for students in grades 7 – 12.

Honor Role

Honor Role is determined based on GPA.  Students who achieve a GPA or 3.5 or higher with no D’s or F’s are placed on the A Honor Role.  Students who achieve a GPA of 3.0 to 3.49 with no D’s or F’s are placed on the B Honor Role.  High school students enrolled in the College Prep Diploma track who earn ‘A’ Honor Role status for a minimum of 4 semesters are eligible to receive an Academic Letter (semesters need not be consecutive).  Students who exceed 4 semesters on the ‘A’ Honor Role will receive a Gold Star and certificate for each additional semester.

Academic Probation

Any student with a GPA of 1.5 or lower is placed on Academic Probation for the following semester.  Students on probation status are ineligible for participation in athletics, student council, and other extracurricular activities.  Students may be required to attend help class during the school year.  Students who fail any class for the year are required to either repeat the class the following year or retake the class in summer school before the start of the next school year.
