Foundations

Vision: The only reason we exist is to serve the Lord Jesus Christ and the families He sends us.

Mission: To provide a Christ-centered education that prepares our students spiritually, academically, socially, and physically for the life’s work that God gives them. (Luke 2:52)

As a ministry of the Temple Baptist Church, we believe that we exist for the following reason: That we are an extension of the church and seek to promote the same directives that Christ gave to His church which is:

  • To disciple believers so that they might serve their Lord more effectively in all vocations of life.
  • To reach out to those in need of a living faith by sharing Christ with them both verbally and by our Christ like example.
  • That parents might be helped in carrying out their God-given responsibility of training their children in the knowledge of God. (Deuteronomy 6:6-7; Proverbs 22:6; Ephesians 6:4)
  • That our children might come to an understanding and appreciation of our responsibilities, rights, and freedoms as citizens of the United States of America.
  • That our children be prepared spiritually and academically for life, that is, that they receive a solid foundation for life in the basic academic subjects such as reading, mathematics, grammar, science, and social studies; and that they understand these subjects in the light of God’s Word.
  • That our children develop, understand, and appreciate good music, art, and literature; and that they recognize and reject that which is evil and degrading. (Philippians 4:8)
  • That our children understand that their bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. They shall be developed in a balanced program of physical education. Our school’s team will be taught that winning is fun, and every effort will be made to win every game. Winning a game, however, is not as important as having a good Christian testimony. (I Timothy 4:8; I Corinthians 9:24-27)
  • To work with the students in cooperation with their parents, to help them learn self-discipline under the direction of God’s Word. Our approach is to teach right from wrong by providing moral guidelines and boundaries.

Partnership: We view education as a partnership between parents and the Academy. (Proverbs 22:6; I Timothy 6:2

Truth: We acknowledge absolute truth, as revealed in God’s Word, and its relevance to our lives in all areas of life. (John 14:6)

Glorification: We seek to glorify God, the Lord Jesus Christ, in all activities to promote a Christian testimony before a lost world. (Philippians 1:21)

Discipleship: We desire to disciple our students in God’s Word so that they might serve their Lord more effectively in their chosen vocations of life. (Matthew 28:19)

Submission: As a ministry of the Temple Baptist Church, we are under the authority of this local assembly and the leadership of its pastor. (Hebrews 13:7)

Respect: Each person is created in God’s image and therefore will be treated with respect. (I Peter 3:15)

Excellence: Continuous improvement and the pursuit of excellence will underlie all that we do. (I Corinthians 9:22)

Honesty: Our relationship and academic performance will be based on honesty and fairness. (Romans 13:13; Psalm 25:21)

Communication: Our success in fulfilling our mission and vision is coupled with our ability to communicate effectively with our constituents. (Colossians 4:6)
