About TBA |
|
TBA was established as a ministry of Temple Baptist Church in 1978 to meet the needs of the Christian community in the greater Albuquerque area and provide families with a biblical alternative to public schools. TBA is a K-12 Christian school, accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the State of New Mexico. Our elementary curriculum consists of the award-winning A Beka program. The junior and senior high school curriculum includes materials published by Bob Jones University, ACSI, Positive Action for Christ and other Christian materials. A high percentage of our graduates go on to college, including many Christian colleges. Our vision is to serve the Lord Jesus Christ and the families He sends us. Our mission is to provide a Christ-centered education that prepares our students spiritually, academically, socially and physically for the life’s work that God gives them. In line with that mission, students in the junior and senior high schools are required to perform community service to reinforce Christ’s call for every Christian to life-long service for His honor and glory. TBA offers a wide array of extracurricular activities, including athletics and co-curricular activities (e.g. Chess Club, Student Council, National Honor Society). Activities for students and families take place throughout the year, including the annual Fall Festival, Christmas program, pep rallies, Open House and graduation ceremonies. Students are also encouraged to participate in interscholastic activities including Math by Mail, Spelling Bee and Speech Meets.
